                 Membership:  Attend one meeting per 
                 week to be eligible    
                 for Texas A&M and Rice.  All other 
                 individual contests are   
                 open to any Upper School student. We 
                 meet now in the Small Lecture Hall
                 on Tuesdays and the Physics lab on      
                 Fridays, during Activities Periods

December 5th (a Friday) Mandelbrot Round 2 Team; there are 4 official teams, one for each form (click here to see who they are for this round); unofficial teams welcome; during MathClub, Activities Period in Physics Lab; Bring pencil (no calc)

January 15th (Thursday) MathCounts Scrimmage with Greenhill and Oakridge; after school until about 7:30pm; pizza etc for students

 

 

February 7  St. Marks High School Math Contest,  8:00am to 2:30pm  at St. Marks

February 21 (corrected!)  MathCounts Chapter contest, at UTA, early morning to 1:00pm

February 27-28  Rice University Math Contest

 

 

MathCounts 2003-4

Meetings:  After school on Wednesdays in the Small Lecture Hall, until 4:30. We meet each Wednesday that school is in session for a full school day, until May (exception: Sept. 3rd due to MS Black White Scrimmage). Please bring pencils and calculator.

News:  Our Chapter contest takes place on Feb. 21st, at UTA.  In our school contest held yesterday these 7 students have gained spots to attend the chapter contest:  Form IV has Daniel Carrington, Lance Lenzen, Ian McLaughlin, Travis Sandy and Jack Squiers while Form III has Michael Lawson and Paul Pesek.  The final student to go will be determined by a run-off to break a tie.
