Introduction

The AMC 8 is the largest national math contest for middle schools.  It is a multiple choice, 25 question exam allowing 40 minutes.  The quality of the questions is very high.  It is given to all students in Forms III and IV, on a Tuesday in the middle of November each year.  

Schools are ranked in each AMC region by adding the top 3 scores from the past 3 years.  Currently Cistercian is ranked 4th among the many middle schools that enter this contest in Texas and Louisiana.
