Responsibilities of Big Brothers

The Big Brothers is a student-initiated organization at Cistercian Prep School consisting of students in Forms VII who are willing to commit themselves to providing positive leadership for students in Form IV.  The Big Brothers show by their actions and words the proper attitudes students should take towards God, toward schoolwork and learning, toward property, toward classmates and adults, toward girls, and toward their bodies.  They also serve as friendly advisors to their little brothers and take a sincere interest in their lives.  Last, but not least, they try to promote a sense of school pride.

The Big Brothers must be willing to commit themselves to regular meetings with their little brothers, usually during one Monday lunch period each month, and occasionally after school or on weekends for joint community service/recreational activities.  More than 2 unexcused absences and/or a conduct grade less than a B-  (from the Form Master or an academic course) can result in dismissal from the program.

By my signature I promise to try serve as a leader in my words and actions, and to make myself available for meetings and activities with my little brothers.
