NORTH TEXAS AREA WHIZ QUIZ LEAGUE

    Through the kindness of Kathi Livezey and Mike Bruck at Mckinney High School, 26 high schools in the North Texas area have formed the NTAWQL or North Texas Area Whiz Quiz League. The schools of this organization are divided into 7 pools for the purpose of round robin competition.  Cistercian Prep belongs to a pool including Greenhill, Jesuit College Prep, and W. T. White High School.

    In March, the winners of the 6-game round robin event will meet at McKinney High School to determine the League Championship and represent it at the State and National tournaments. Through the end of 2003, Cistercian Prep is 3-0, having beaten all the schools in its pools in the first round.  The results are as follows: 

        CPS vs. W.T. White in September 300 vs. 150

        CPS vs. Jesuit Prep School/ October - 350 vs. 250

       CPS vs. Greenhill / November - 295 vs. 265

        CPS vs. W. T. White in December - 495 vs. 265

NB: Please consult this site for the final two dual matches against Greenhill and Jesuit.  They will BOTH be played at Cistercian Prep School.
