Transcript release form 2008-2009
The Transcript must include a complete grade report for the fall semester (through the second quarter or third six weeks) and standardized test results. The Admissions Committee will not evaluate a file that does not contain this transcript.
3. Ask two, preferably current year, teachers who know your son well to fill out and return the Teacher Evaluation forms by January 25th.
These teachers may be, for example, a homeroom teacher and a Language Arts or Math teacher.
4. Bring applicant for testing on the designated date.
All applicants must take our admissions test. For applicants to Forms I - V (grades 5-9), the test consists of three parts: 1) a standardized test of verbal and quantitative aptitude; 2) a standardized achievement test in reading comprehension and in math concepts and problem solving; 3) a writing sample. Boys applying to Forms VI or VII must take specialized tests in math, reading comprehension, and composition.
Members of the Cistercian faculty administer the admissions test, during which they observe the boys. With applicants to higher forms, the interview becomes more formal, but it is still conducted on the morning of the admissions test and usually by the faculty member administering the test. The observations are submitted to the Admissions Committee. Private, personal interviews are not required.
Parents will receive a letter notifying them of the decision of the Admissions Committee.
5. Respond to letter of acceptance within two weeks by submitting the registration fee and contract.
6. Have an end-of-year transcript sent to Cistercian by June 6.
No information submitted to Cistercian Preparatory School for admissions purposes will be returned to the applicant.
Cistercian Preparatory School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, disability, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its admission and education policies, financial aid programs, athletic programs and other activities.
