College Counseling at Cistercian is an integral part of the school's overall counseling program, designed to lead young men to a deeper understanding of their individual talents, characteristic learning styles, academic interests and vocational goals. The college admissions process at Cistercian is, therefore, viewed as a developmental process. Its purpose is not only to assist students in finding colleges that meet their needs and match their academic strengths and interests, but also to engage each student in a process of self-assessment. Parents, Form Master, faculty members and college counselor all encourage each student's aspirations while supporting the young man in taking personal responsibility and initiative for the college process. The college counseling process serves as a capstone experience in fulfilling the school's motto, Ardere et Lucere , so that each graduate will go forth and enlighten the world in which we all live.
Welcome! We’re happy to join you in this partnership aimed at finding the best college fit for each of our students. There’s as much to ask as there is to tell about our respective schools, so let’s get to it! If you’ve never been on our 85 acre monastery campus or had a chance to see our community in action, you’re missing out on something special… come to Irving and get to know us better.
We encourage admissions representatives to schedule visits as early as possible for the busy season of September, October and November.
Though we do not let students out of class to meet with college reps, there are three times available each school day when students are readily accessible to do so: 7:45 a.m., 12:15 p.m., or 2:45 p.m. Visits last approximately 45 minutes.
Please click here to schedule a school visit.
Where to find us:
Upon your arrival to campus, drive straight through the open gate to the Entrance Building on your right. Visitor parking is marked, but feel free to park in any available space. Proceed up the main stairs to check in with our receptionist.
Please note, you will need your driver’s license to check in and receive a visitor’s badge.
